FOR BOARDING, DAYCARE AND GROOMING VISIT: DANDJ'S PET LODGE
For 34 years, D & J Kennels has been raising quality AKC Alaskan Malamutes as well as AKC Siberian Huskies in small town central Pennsylvania.
It all started when I, Julie Whitmer, wanted to pursue my passion for animals in a way that would benefit the quality of the breeds. I have always loved animals, and in 1989, my husband, David and I built D & J Kennels. Ever since we have continued to better the breeds and have now expanded to providing boarding, daycare, and grooming services to our local community at our sister facility D and J's Pet Lodge.

As you may be aware - there are many breeders of AKC Siberian Huskies out there (AKC Alaskan Malamutes are a little less common, but slowly gaining popularity from breeders.)
That being said, why should you choose D & J?

Well, we've been creating our distinguished bloodline for 34 years. Monitoring temperaments, coat types and markings, genetic predispositions such as eye health/testing, and OFA (Orthopedic Testing) for our dogs as well. We will not breed any dog predisposition to eye conditions, or hip issues into our bloodline - and your furry little puppy! We also take into account the proper pairings for ideal temperaments and will gladly help you decide which parent pairs fit your lifestyle as well!
By doing testing we can insure a lower chance of any of the typical breed issues happening due to the fault of the breeder and genetics of the puppy.
(Please be informed: you must also take care of your pet appropriately to insure none of this happens. A proper diet, exercise and vetting!)
